I’d like to introduce Chara — a simple yet powerful mobile platform that connects doctors and patients across Kurdistan and Iraq. Built with accessibility in mind, Chara supports three languages and helps improve communication, appointment booking, and medication tracking in underserved areas.
What is Chara?
Chara is a multilingual health tech app designed to make healthcare more approachable and organized for everyone involved.

Tech Stack
- Frontend: Flutter
- Backend: Supabase (auth, database, and real-time features)
- Localization: Full RTL and LTR layout support
- Database: PostgreSQL (via Supabase)
My Role
As the sole developer of Chara, I:
- Designed and built the complete mobile UI
- Integrated Supabase for user management and data
- Created the database schema for doctors, patients, appointments, and reports
- Handled localization and UX testing with real users
- Presented the project at TECHFEST and internal university showcases
Impact
Chara has been used by local clinics and was showcased at TECHFEST 2022 & 2023. It demonstrates how simple technology can make healthcare more connected and accessible — especially in multilingual regions with fragmented systems.
If people can call a cab from their phone, they should be able to reach a doctor just as easily.
