Hi everyone 👋 I’m Mohammed Safin. In 2024, I led a 4-week robotics workshop at AUIS focused on teaching students the fundamentals of embedded systems and Arduino development. This was one of the most rewarding teaching experiences I’ve had, working with 15 curious and motivated students.
Workshop Overview
The workshop was structured as a hands-on learning experience. Topics we covered included:
- Intro to Arduino Uno and circuit design
- Digital and analog I/O, sensors, and actuators
- Real-world projects like traffic lights, distance sensors, and mini security systems
- Code + hardware debugging with group collaboration
- Final presentations where students demoed their own mini projects
Impact
- Built confidence in working with electronics and hardware
- Introduced programming logic and problem solving through robotics
- Fostered teamwork and real-world prototyping experience
- Inspired some students to pursue further learning in embedded systems
Teaching robotics is more than circuits and code — it's about unlocking imagination and engineering potential in young minds.
